Nobody likes having to pay for damage to a rental car. However damage can happen and for this reason we have variety of insurance packages available to suit your budget. Damage must be paid for as it depreciates our rental car.
The Standard Excess included with all prices is as follows:
$2000 nz insurance excess – free with all prices for drivers aged 25 years and up.
You must supply credit card details with available credit that will cover this excess in the event of damage to the rental vehicle.
$2500 nz insurance excess free with all prices for drivers aged 21 – 24.
You must supply credit card details with available credit that will cover this excess in the event of damage to the rental vehicle.
$3000 nz insurance excess – free with all prices for drivers aged 21 or under or those who had not held a full licence for 1 full calendar year.
You must supply credit card details with available credit that will cover this excess in the event of damage to the rental vehicle.
Note: Travel Insurance and Credit Card insurance can cover Rental Car Insurance Excess.
To Reduce Your Risk the following Rental Car Excess Reductions are available:
- Reduce your excess to $1000
- Reduce your Excess to $500
- Reduce your Excess to $500 + full glass cover
- Standard Excess plus Full Glass Cover
Drivers aged under 25 cannot reduce the insurance excess but they can buy glass cover.
We recommend buying Glass Cover.
